Based in Barcelona and Taipei, IMO is an architecture and design office focused in the creation of remarkable spatial experiences.

IMO has also contributed in teaching at Tamkang University, Tunghai University, COAM (Official College of Architects in Madrid) and lectured in Taiwan Technology University, Taiwan Culture University and in Spain at ETSAM, ETSASS and UEM.

Part of IMO’s curriculum is the co-authorship of the 1st Prize winning design to build the Kaohsiung Maritime Culture and Popular Music Center, the 1st Prize to build the Xiafu Activity Centre and the 1st Prize to build the Taipei Meteorological Station.

Other notable awards include FIABCI Taiwan Real estate Excellence Award國家卓越建股獎, Novum Design Award、 New Taipei City Urban Design Award新北都市設計大賞、 Architecture Masterprize 建筑大师獎、 Taiwan’s Golden Pin Design Award  金點設計獎、 Architecture A+ Awards Jury Winner、 APR Architecture and Design FIRST Award and the APR Global Future Design Award。

This year, IMO’s Xiafu Activity Center was selected as Architizer’s A+ Jury Award in the Colour and Architecture category. With over 5,000 entries annually to the program, Architizer’s A+ Awards are the largest and among the most prestigious issued in the world.  As a result, Architizer in partnership with Phaidon Press have selected the Xiafu Activity Center as the featured project on the cover of their yearly volume of “The World’s Best Architecture.”

This year’s Architecture & Design Jury was paneled by such luminaries as Bjarke Ingels (Founding Principal of BIG), Jeanne Gang (Founding Principal of Studio Gang Architects) and Mónica Ponce de León (Dean at Princeton University School of Architecture) as well as many others, who together selected IMO’s Xiafu Activity Center as the 2019 A+ Jury Award Winner for the Colour + Architecture category.
